HORRORWALKER.COM is the gateway to the HORRORWALKER WORLD. This is one of the many 'WORLDS OF WORDS' existing inside the arjayuniverse. This place of places is just like anywhere else. It is a world of doors and exits, focus and unfocus, air and dirt, life and death, animals and plants, water and dust, human beings and... other things that exist slightly outside the realm of rational thought.  Just outside the cracked opened door... there is the dark side to this world of -- the HORRORWALKER!

The HORRORWALKER is a somewhat human-like creature of the light and the darkness, the mist and the solid, the reality and the mystical, who travels across its 'WORLD OF WORDS' by some form of a mysterious means of world spanning transportation. It apparently exists to locate, observe, and then record into its personal tome events too arcane and base to be allowed to fade into obscurity after the fact. It traverses the HORRORWALKER WORLD in quiet obscurity, toting with it the book of knowledge deemed by man to be titled: THE HORRORWALKER TRAVEL GUIDE - this large book has only been read by a seemingly select few humans.

The HORRORWALKER will, with what is usually described as a a quiet 'pop,' arbitrarily phase into existance to stand before a person and offer the huge book to said person of choice to be read. It may appear in the dead of night, when the moon is full and the chill is in the heart. Or, in full daylight, when most creatures of the night hide from the exposing rays of the sun. Most of the people who have met the HORRORWALKER face to face tell this same story, in which they swear that after they recover from the initial heart attack inducing shock of having an eight foot tall creature dressed in a large light devouring black swirlling and billowing robe-like garmet, with an even blacker cowl that covers its head and totally obscures what might be its face in more darkness, towering there before you tall and scary, holding a ten foot tall scythe-like device in its right black claw of a hand, and holding the large heavy tome in its left hand - they swear that they simply would not begin to even hope to finish reading all of what is written inside the massive book, which is described as a hardbound volume covered in a soft leather-like substance. There are varying reports as to the actual color of the book's cover. The book appears to change color to reflect something about the different readers. Red, blue, green, and black are the reported colors. There is no text to be found on the cover, but the drawing of the 'scythe' there gives the tome omnious gravity. The tome is cold to the touch and seems to almost turn it's own pages as one reads his or her individual story. The tome's pages are grey and cloth-like, and seemingly indestructible.

The HORRORWALKER stands motionless in silent, frightful silent vigil until the reader fulfills his or her compelled obligation to read the story. Some of the stories witnessed by the HORRORWALKER are so horrific and so graphic that the reader just wants to give up and return the book, but the HORRORWALKER somehow compells the person to read their entire missive. When the person finishes, and eventually hands the book back to the HORRORWALKER, it may delivers a short morality warning before leaving like it first appeared. They say the deep, gravel scratching over metal voice stays with you forever.

Here before you is a collection of just a few of the many stories told by some of the men and women visited by the HORRORWALKER over decades past to present. Let it be public knowledge that the HORRORWALKER has never addressed its tome as THE HORORWALKER TRAVEL GUIDE. That title was coined by Ronald Lee Jones and endorsed by the collected group of people, young and old, who have been visited by the HORRORWALKER over the years. To this day, most of the living HORRORWALKER hosts pray that it has not been insulted by what they have done by giving its tome a title that people can grasp onto. "Hopefully," some of these people have publicly declared, "It will not eventually come calling in the middle of the night holding a grudge."

You will now experience what the HORRORWALKER has observed. You can read what is now before you, or you can seek out for purchase your own slimmed down version of the HORRORWALKER TRAVEL GUIDE and other accountings from the legion of HORRORWALKER devotees. Can you bear to face the horror that is, in fact, actually just outside your... bedroom door? Maybe that sound you just heard in the dark corner of your bedroom is the HORRORWALKER making his entrance directly into your life?

Return to this site from week to week for additional HORRORWALKER.COM  'WORLDS OF WORDS' content. Go to individual story pages for samples of the horror. There you will find shorter HORRORWALKER stories as examples of what can be found inside the HORRORWALKER'S tome, or the many recountings and accounting of its appearances.
